St Trinians UK compared to USA

This is an american version of the poster for the UK film St Trinians. This poster only shows the main characters which may well be more known to them as a country. This is done to help bring in the American viewers more, because with the use of the lesser known characters would not interest american audience and would be more of a waist of time compared to the UK audience in which are open to the use of new characters and bringing in a new generation of future actors/actresses to the world. This also compared to the UK poster shows Colin Firth as a powerful character in which we know throughout the film that he is not a big player of this powerful role, this just shows the viewer of the american stereotype of men in high places to be a big power, this therefore is misleading to the viewer. Also the background of the poster can be said to be very 'american' in where they are more drawn to things in which stand out more from the crowd!! this very much so apeals to the US audience because of the showing of the big main characters in which the USA may know therefore interesting them into watching such a movie. 

 Here is the UK version of the advertising photo. To the UK audience it becomes more obvious in which the character types are, as it shows Russell Brand in the background in between two characters in which represents his character in the film as a sly deviant man in which he is. Also this is  not miss leading what so ever in the background image, this is because it shows you the setting in which the film is. possibly the biggest difference between the two posters is the typography, in which the USA poster makes it looks very simplistic and basic compared to the UK poster represents the true nature of the film in being complicated and in a graffiti more like style showing that the school its self is full of rebelistic characters in which are grown up not childish in which the USA poster hints at. This poster very much appeals to the UK audience because it is not miss leading and shows how it is.
